SUSTAINABILITY & PACKAGING
I either printed my cards, bookmarks and stickers myself or had them printed, all made in Germany.
Regarding my packaging:
The plastic-looking sleeves are made of compostable material (vegan and clear as well as compostable plant starch with EN 13432 and OK BIOBASED Certifikate). They comply with EU and FDA regulations for contact with food. The envelopes are also partly made from recycled material.
With the global move towards more sustainable, environmentally friendly methods, biodegradable cello bags are becoming increasingly popular for a variety of applications. They are not only great for wrapping greeting cards and other small items in an attractive and eye-catching way, but also for storing food safely while protecting the environment.
Biodegradable cello bags are made from plant-based materials such as corn starch or cellulose, which quickly decompose when exposed to moisture or heat, making them much more environmentally friendly than conventional plastic packaging. In addition, unlike many plastics that contain harmful chemicals such as BPA (bisphenol A), biodegradable cello bags are completely free of toxins and can be used for food without risk of contamination.
These versatile little packages offer another great advantage – their recyclability! Many types of biodegradable bags can be recycled together with normal paper waste at your local recycling centre. This means you can use each item multiple times before it breaks down into its natural components over time. Another advantage: they are vegan!
Overall, biodegradable cello bags make perfect sense for both environmentally conscious people who want to reduce their carbon footprint and those who are simply looking for stylish ways to give cards or store food. They are durable, easy to recycle, free from toxins and also suitable for vegans!
